About us

Software built together with the people who will run it.

Pamoja means together. Sit with a business owner, understand how the day actually runs, and build software that fits — instead of forcing a foreign package or a freelancer who disappears.

We are a Nairobi-based, remote-first studio. Custom web apps, backends, booking platforms, storefronts, operations systems, and the integrations that connect them to M-Pesa. Every project is quoted after we understand what you need built.

The person behind the work

A builder you can actually reach

I started Pamoja Africa because too many Kenyan and regional businesses are stuck in the same bind. Hiring a full engineering team is slow and expensive. Sending the work overseas often means timezone gaps, vague invoices, and a system that ignores how a front desk, a warehouse, or a till actually operates.

I work directly with the people who will use the software. Discovery is a real conversation about workflow, not a slide deck. You get a written scope and a quote for that scope. You talk to the person doing the work, in a timezone that matches yours, and you see progress before launch.

The studio is remote-first. There is no walk-in office and no invented headquarters. Nairobi is home base; the work happens on calls, in shared reviews, and in the systems we ship.

How we show up

What you should expect from us

We are not a staffing agency and we are not an offshore factory. We take on work we can stand behind, tell you when we are the wrong fit, and quote the build you actually asked for.

01

We learn the workflow first

Spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, paper diaries, the one person who “just knows” — that is usually the real system. We map it before we propose a screen.

02

We quote the work, not a package

A booking tool and a full operations platform are not the same job. After discovery you receive a scoped proposal and a number for that scope.

03

We build for how Africa actually runs

Mobile-first staff, M-Pesa and local banks, connectivity that drops. The system has to hold together on a busy afternoon.

04

We stay reachable after launch

Training, a clean handoff, and — if you want it — a retainer so you are not hunting for a new freelancer the week something breaks.

Work with us

If this sounds like the partner you wanted, book a call.

Tell us what you need built. We will say honestly whether we are the right team, then send a written quote for that work.
